Rainwater
tank report - it's almost done!
(added 15/01/07)
So far 95% of the project is completed.
Prior to the tanks arriving, landscaping was required so as we had a
level surface to put the tanks on. We give thanks to Adam Cole, Michelle
Cole, Bill Mannwaring, Ted Colley, and Garry Gibson for the work put into
preparing the sites.

14 Sep – 2 newest tanks.
In August and September the water tanks arrived. 2 x 10500 Gallon , 2
x 8400 Gallon and 1 x 3300 gallon Tanks. There will be one additional
3300 Gallon tank to be placed at Allora in the near future.
The next step of the project was to connect the guttering and down pipes.
A big thank you to the boys in the loco shed (Peter Tobin) for putting
up the guttering.
This was followed by 2 working bees to attach the down pipes.
The first working bee was on 21st October and was attended by Adam Cole,
Michelle Cole, Garry Gibson, Shereze Young, Ted Colley, Robert Capewell,
Stephen and Paul Shepard. We managed to finish most of the landscaping,
and connect over flow pipes to the overflow tanks before a thunderstorm
passed over.

21st October - the Shepard boys at Work.
The 2nd Working bee was on 4th November. This working bee took place
with overnight rain of over 100mm, and it was still raining. A big thank
you to Adam Cole, Michelle Cole, Bill Mason, Michael Kowoski, and John
Armbruster for braving the morning of rain, and to Bob Bingham for helping
finish in the afternoon sun. We completed all down pipe work, leaving
only a repair to a tank and the pump and fitting to complete.

4th November Adam, Bill, Bob & John prepping the next section of
pipe to be installed.

Bob Bingham caught working after the rain had cleared.
